What Happened to Me?

I am freelance consulting which means I have lots of time during the day (when I'm not also doing Uptown Hound work) to catch up on what the young people are doing these days. My old office had a view of the MTV studios in Times Square, and I used to hate all those people outside who would start yelling (not yelling, really, just going "ooooooooooh"--molto annoying). But I am officially converted. I watched the whole first and second seasons of The Hills, and made an actual plan to be home at 10 tonight to see the season premiere of Season Three. What the hell is wrong with me? Why I do love watching the trials and tribulations of a bunch of privileged 20-somethings who can (and can afford to) go out every night so they can fight with each other? I wish I could quit them, but I can't. I have to go...second half of the premiere is coming on and someone's getting engaged. I might just pass out from the excitement.
